Marcello Lippi ready to win the second World Cup
Italy present coach Marcello Lippi hits back at the whistles towards him and the chorus referred to Cassano.
“I don’t care what people do – he said – if some people want to whistle to whom brought the World Cup in Italy, they are welcome, I will do my best anyway to give Italy a second one. But to be honest I start to suspect that there is someone down in the stand that stir supporters up”.
Talking about real football then, Italy’s starting eleven, that beat Sweden 1-0 yesterday in Cesena, was brand new and Coach Lippi was quite glad of what he saw. “I’m satisfied with the match, both sides wanted to come forward and score,” he commented. “It’s true that we had none of the World Champions on the pitch, but all of the newcomers played with enthusiasm.” So, there is still a lot of work to do, before the World championship, but it looks like Mr. Lippi is making up his mind and is ready to kick ass.
